Madison is a city surrounded by beautiful lakes and waterways, yet many of our youth lack the resources or opportunities to explore these bodies of water. We offer our youth program to introduce local youth to the natural wonders of our city. Through our programming, youth get out on the water while developing new skills, gaining self-confidence, learning to work with others, experiencing nature, and having loads of fun. Paddling a canoe or a kayak can be a life-changing experience!
Our program is flexible and can be offered from either our pond or somewhere close to your community center or neighborhood. With so much water, it is easy to find a cool place to explore! We can tailor our programs to the needs of your group and scholarships are available for qualifying youth organizations. Please contact us for more information and let's get out on the water together!

Adults like the water, too, and we can provide a unique water based program for you group, club, family reunion, or business. We are creative folks here at Rutabaga, so give us a call and see how we can make whatever occasion, meeting, or gathering you are having even that much more unique and memorable.

Yes! We can host your next birthday party! Our birthday celebrations include instruction in canoes or kayaks (your choice), fun games on the water, and a little trip outside our pond. Once we return to land, we can provide you with a great space to wrap up your party with snacks and cake.
